Aditi Anand

Aditi Anand is a children’s book author and illustrator from India. In 2024, she graduated with distinction from the MA in Children’s Book Illustration at the Cambridge School of Art, UK.

She works primarily in mixed media and is drawn to stories shaped by strong emotions, often exploring complex or difficult subjects. Her work has been exhibited in London, Italy, China, and India, and she has collaborated with publishers including Walker Books UK, Penguin Random House India, and Pratham Books.

In 2024, Anand received the V&A Illustration Award in the Emerging Illustrator category, the MACBI Printmaking Award, and the Binod Kanoria Children’s Book Award. She was also runner-up for the Batsford Prize and the Sebastian Walker Award. In 2023, she won the Picture This! Illustration Competition and was awarded third place in the Macmillan Prize for Illustration.

Her author-illustrator debut, The Fabric of Us, will be published by Walker Books in 2026.
