Muktar Mustafa

Muktar Mustafa (b. 2001) is a Lagos-based, Nigerian traditional illustrator who specialises in ink on paper and acrylic on canvas.

He is a self taught artist that creates surreal worlds and distinct characters to tell complex and immersive stories.

He takes inspiration from old newspaper comic strips, western comics, manga and animation to replicate motion, environment and a nostalgia for childhood wonder.
