Lagos International Festival of Illustrations (LIFI) is a vibrant three-day celebration of the art and power of illustration, hosted by the Book Buzz Foundation. This timely event brings together 9 globally acclaimed illustrators and 45 Nigerian illustrators to explore the transformative power of illustrations in storytelling, representation, and cultural expression.
Through hands-on workshops, inspiring, exhibitions, panel discussions, live demonstrations and portfolio clinics where emerging illustrators can receive feedback from professionals, alongside curated networking events that open doors to collaboration and commercial opportunity.
LIFI is designed to ignite creativity, build skills, and foster global exchange. Given its focus on artistic illustration for children’s books, LIFI addresses the urgent need to train a new generation of Nigerian illustrators.
LIFI aims to position Lagos as a global hub for excellence in illustrations and empower artists, elevate Nigeria visual storytelling, and enrich the future of children’s literature in Nigeria and beyond.
