Celebrating the work of great writers, commentators and thinkers, Bristol Ideas hosts workshops, discussions and debates, posing urgent questions about the world. Bristol Ideas collaborates widely in the city, nationally and internationally. They are committed to commissioning new work; forging lasting partnerships; and supporting artists and organisations to contribute to major cultural programmes.

Here + There brought together teams from Bristol Ideas,  Aké Arts and Book Festival and the Toronto Festival of Authors to explore the future of international collaboration and devise viable and sustainable project ideas where we can share the realities of our different contexts. Together, the collaboration produced a beautiful zine which transports you to the different festivals.

Inspired by T S Eliot’s The Waste Land, the Book Buzz Foundation provided the commissioned four Nigerian poets: Niyi Osundare, Wana Udobang, Logan February and Maryam Bukar to write poems about Climate Change. Their work can be found in Volume IX of Aké Review.
